SILICONE FREE FITTINGS
Silicone Wash is a procedure used to clean copper, brass, stainless steel, steel, and other materials. This procedure is used mainly in the plumbing industry to remove inherent silicone used in the making of fittings and valves. Each part is disassembled, taking out O rings, and seals, then cleaned, reassembled, and individually packaged and sealed. Dyne 38 testing is available which detects any silicone on the parts. Certification to “Silicone Free” is provided with each shipment.
Heavy, light, and a dry-to-touch options of organic and inorganic rust preventatives or inhibitors are available. Also available to this process is an extra step of SPIN DRY to remove excess rust preventative from parts with threads.
