Rack Black Phosphate Finishing for Cosmetic Requirements
A major automaker approached Jackson Tumble Finish with cosmetic requirements that needed a quick turnaround. The customer wanted to prove that a black phosphate finish on an automotive assembly would look as nice and be more cost-effective than traditional paint finishes.
To develop a Class A cosmetic appearance using a Class B chemical application. At the same time, JTF was challenged to do this at a more economical cost than e-coat or paint.
Through meeting the customer’s exacting demands with a new racking process, we were able to complete the prototyping project and have finished ongoing production jobs for the customer. In addition, Jackson Tumble Finish now completes similar Black Phosphate projects for many of its customers.
